Transatlantic Leading Edge Award Presentation

Margaret "Peggy" Gilligan, Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will be celebrated as the recipient of the Washington, DC Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society 2017 Transatlantic Leading Edge Award.

Gilligan has been with the FAA since 1980, serving previously as the Deputy Associate Administrator for 14 years and currently leads the organization responsible for setting, overseeing, and enforcing safety standards for all parts of the aviation industry in the United States. Gilligan is recognized by the Washington, DC Branch for her contributions to the overall advancement of aviation safety around the world.

The evening will begin with a reception. The Annual General Meeting will take place immediately following the award presentation.
